Schizophrenia Inflammation Imaging Study

We are interested in finding out more about how the immune system may affect the brain in
schizophrenia. This study will examine how blood-based biomarkers of inflammation may be related to cognitive functioning, and brain structure and function using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Currently recruiting both healthy participants and people who have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorder.

Who is eligible to participate?
  •  Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorder
  • 18 to 55 years old
  • No other current mental disorder
  • No uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure
For healthy volunteers:
  • Free of current mental disorder
  • No immediate family members who have: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or depression
  • 18 to 55 years old
  • Right-handed
  • No uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure
  • Native English Speaker
